The church and artists: A roundtable discussion
15 December 2009 Leave a Comment
Jon McIntosh of Rethink Mission posted commentary from a roundtable discussion a few months ago (which I just came across today thanks to Melynda’s Passion). Four people representing four churches-slash-galleries answer four questions over the course of two entries, parts one and two.
Joanna Taft with Harrison Center for the Arts in Indianapolis
Michael Winters with The 930 Art Center in Louisville
James McAnally with The Luminary Center for the Arts in St. Louis
Grace Hwang with Salt Art Space in New York
The participants talk about their respective organization’s mission and strategy. The ideas vary somewhat in relationship to their different contexts. It’s a good read for anyone involved in the arts and the church.
