Paul Nielsen founded The Aesthetic Elevator late in 2005. He owns a piece of paper, located somewhere in his house (not on the wall), stating that he earned a B.F.A. from the University of Nebraska around about 2001. While there, he studied studied architecture, graphic design and ceramics, graduating with a degree in studio art. Paul presently serves as communications manager for a small non-profit doing their print design and marketing.

those dogwood buds are gorgeous
Something really cool about those raintree pods. I like the underglaze revealed through those cracks, especially. It reminds me of the way the ground cracked as a result of the big Alaska earthquake of 1964 (which I witnessed).
There was some snow on the ground, and then these deep fissures opened up, and the effect was really striking (as well as scary).
I wish I had time this week to comment more, but I’m linking your post on unimaginative houses.
FWIW I listed them in the wrong order in the post. The dogwood buds are on the far left. The post now reads correctly.
