Image Journal overview

The above video was posted earlier this year and gives a brief overview of the Image Journal. There are a few quotable portions, including this from ceramic artist Ginger Geyer: “The arts get to the, the hearts of us as humans, in a way that intellectual discourse, morality discourse and that sort of thing can’t do, and touches upon our common humanity.”

Geyer has a fascinating body of work in porcelain exploring common objects from different rooms in a home via this link.

Paul Nielsen founded The Aesthetic Elevator late in 2005. He owns a piece of paper, located somewhere in his house (not on the wall), stating that he earned a B.F.A. from the University of Nebraska around about 2001.
